Engineering SpA (ENG) came to the GPII DeveloperSpace to integrate accessible features in their business intelligence suite. Specifically ENG integrated Robobraille from Sensus and other building block integrations that allow people with visual impairments to use the business intelligence suite.
“Our involvement in the DeveloperSpace has given us the necessary knowledge to keep accessibility always in focus for future devolopments,” Marco Aimar ENG SpA engineer.
ENG aims to propose the first available accessible business solution, integrating the following GPII DeveloperSpace functionalities:
- Preference server for auto personalization for users with visual impairment and,
- ARIA support to better support text to speech for people with disability
- Georeferenced business intelligence data accessiblity, through preferences and tabular text to speech support, to visually impaired users
- Business Intelligence charts data accessiblilty, through preferences and tabular text to speech support, to visually impaired users
“Our effort in integrating AT into our Business Suite has been hinted by our participation in the GPII DeveloperSpace, having the possibility to discuss with AT experts and count on high quality components, allowed Engineering to minimize the impact on it development schedule and, at the same time, make sure that its product was integrated with best on place components,” explained Marco Aimar.
