Where ICT is non-web software that provides a user interface which is closed to assistive technologies for screen reading, it shall meet requirement 5.1.3.7 (Speech output for video information)(link is external).

Notes

One of the options available to authors as a means to meet clause 11.2.1.4 is providing a media alternative that is text, which necessarily relies on a connected assistive technology to be presented. Clause 5.1.3.7(link is external) addresses that same need when functionality is closed to screen reading.
